Asia Day encourages Japanese and other Asian filmmakers to develop their networking skills in relation to program development, background research, and filming.
In regard to co-productions, Japanese and Asian filmmakers talk about and share what they have experienced, what they’re now working on and what they plan for the future.
What blossomed at last year’s Tokyo Docs is now bearing fruit as the TV series "Colors of Asia". The participants in this project—from Japan and other Asian countries—get together and discuss how they’re working on co-productions.
In order to develop co-productions, Japanese production companies and Asian independent producers have one-on-one meetings to discuss how they can work together in developing ideas, research and/or filming.
